Dan Magaro has served corporate retirement plans as the TPA, Recordkeeper, Actuary and consultant for over 40 years. This experience allows us to help you  get the best value in the other service areas by making sure the service in each of these areas is excellent and that the fees are competitive.           DAN MAGARO

Dan Magaro is the President of Stone Oak Retirement Plan Services. Dan has over 50 years of experience serving corporate retirement plans.His experience includes:

  • Consulting for a broad base of clients in diversified industries to design a qualified plan solution that meets the plan sponsor’s objectives
  • Specialized consulting related to investment costs within 401(k) plans
  • Consulting related to assessing compliance with ERISA and DOL requirements
  • Actuarial consulting to assist a client in determining whether they should terminate their defined benefit plan and possibly increase contributions to their 401(k) plan going forward or continue their defined benefit plan and 401(k) plan.
  • Providing customized TPA and Recordkeeping services

Prior to starting Stone Oak Retirement Plan Services, Dan worked for Retirement Horizons as a consultant and practice leader for over 18 years. Prior to joining Retirement Horizons, Dan was President of his own consulting firm, Magaro & Associates, Inc. Prior to this, Dan was a partner with Malcolm Thompson, Magaro & Associates, a regional employee benefits consulting firm.

Prior to this, he was president of a trust company. Dan graduated from Texas Tech University in 1974 with a degree in Marketing Research.

Dan received a Master of Actuarial Science degree in December 1979 from Georgia State University.
